U7–U11
Foundation Phase

Technical Skills | Love for the Game

Our Foundation Phase programme introduces young players to football in a fun, safe and engaging environment, aligned with SAFA’s Long-Term Player Development model.

The focus is on building strong technical foundations through ball mastery, dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting. Small-sided games maximise touches and encourage creativity, confidence and decision-making.

At this stage, enjoyment and participation are prioritised over results. Coaches emphasise teamwork, respect and positive reinforcement to nurture both skill and character. Our goal is to develop technically sound players who love the game and are excited to grow within the sport.

U13–U17
Development Phase

Tactical Awareness | Discipline | Game Intelligence

The Development Phase builds on technical foundations while introducing tactical structure and greater physical preparation, in line with SAFA guidelines.

Players develop positional understanding, decision-making and awareness of game principles such as pressing, transitions and maintaining shape. Training challenges players to think quickly and adapt under pressure. Discipline, responsibility and teamwork are strongly emphasised.

Age-appropriate strength and conditioning supports athletic growth and injury prevention. Through structured coaching, match exposure and performance feedback, players gain confidence and football intelligence. This phase prepares them for higher levels of competition and long-term progression in the game.

U19–U21
Performance Phase

Elite Training | Strength | Competition Readiness

The U21 Performance Phase prepares players for senior and elite football within a SAFA-aligned high-performance framework.

Training intensity increases, focusing on advanced tactics, positional specialisation and match analysis. Structured strength and conditioning programmes improve speed, power, endurance and resilience.

Players follow individual development plans to maximise potential while maintaining professional standards on and off the field. Mental preparation, leadership and competitive mindset are key components of this phase.

Regular high-level competition ensures readiness for the demands of senior football. Our objective is to develop complete athletes capable of performing at the highest level.
